A Himalayan balsam plant featured on QWAG’s People’s Day stand.
Another Lewisham People’s Day, another chance for QWAG to explain to the local community the latest comings and goings on their neighbourhood rivers. And, although we didn’t have the same prime location as last year, a steady stream of visitors was entertained. Then it was the public debut of QWAG’s School Displays that stole the show, and they proved popular again this year. However, the display of a Himalayan balsam plant proved a great success in raising the awareness of the problems caused along the river corridor by the invasion of alien species.
