The home page has been redesigned to be more inviting to new visitors
The current QWAG website was launched in August 2004. At the age of three it is positively geriatric in the fast changing world of the web. However, that in itself is not a good enough reason for a faceliift and the changes we have made have tended to be evolutionary rather than revolutionary.
A new layout
This is third significant change to the home page. Two years ago a description of the top level menu was added and in July last year a recent additions and updates list appeared. This time the major change is to the layout rather than the contents.
In the new layout the left hand column describes a brief history of QWAG. This is intended for first time visitors and has been updated to take recent events into account. And although we wanted to keep the page length short we had to find space for QWAG’s iconic before and after photos of Chinbrook Meadows.
A new feature
The right hand column is headed by the recent additions and updates list, which can now be seen without the need to scroll down. As well as speeding regular visitors on their way it assures less frequent ones that the website is live and continually updated.
Photo of the month is a new feature that we hope will encourage visitors to send in their photos of some aspect of the River Quaggy. Follow the link from the home page to find out more. Below the photo of the month are the top level menu descriptions and acknowledgements.
We hope you like our new look home page.
