So claimed the adverts for this year’s riverwalk on the 7th September. And it was no idle boast, as those who braved the forecast heavy rain discovered.

The River Pool flows from Cator Park in New Beckenham to meet the River Ravensbourne just south of Catford. Along the way it passes through a linear park, where a section of river was restored to a new channel 15 years ago.
