Last September QWAG entered for a prestigious BURA Award for Community Inspired Regeneration for our work. Having passed the initial selection process an assessor visited the Group in November. Her extremely positive report ensured we were short-listed and a visit by an awards committee member scheduled.

In just 5 hours the second assessor visited Chinbrook Meadows, Sutcliffe Park and Manor Park, as well as Marvels Lane and North-brook Schools. Guided by Founder Matthew Blumler, Chair Ray Manchester and Secretary Dave Larkin she met a number of local people who have benefited from QWAG's work.

The awards committee will meet after all short-listed projects have been visited - winners will be announced in mid-February.
